MFHD Gift Fund Policy

Each Fall each of the Marriage, Family and Human Development faculty will donate the following amounts for the MFHD Gift Fund:

Professors: $30
Associate Professors: $25
Assistant Professors: $20

The money from the Gift Fund will be used to:

Purchase gifts and/or flowers for weddings, funerals, illnesses, etc. for current and former faculty and their immediate families.
Purchase gifts and/or flowers for weddings, funerals, illnesses, etc. for School of Family Life staff or for the immediate families of the staff who work closely with the MFHD faculty.
Support retirement parties for MFHD faculty and affiliated MFHD faculty in the School of Family Life.
Purchase gifts and/or flowers for special situations such as deaths or serious illnesses involving national colleagues known to the department at large.

The amount for gifts may vary depending on the situation and funding that is available. If there are any questions, the MFHD Program Chair will decide if a gift or flowers should be given. The MFHD executive committee and other faculty may be consulted as necessary.
